The Peugeot Boxer is a popular commercial vehicle with quite a bit of cargo capacity. It is the successor to the Peugeot J5, which is comparable to the first generation Fiat Ducato. Of all the (medium) large vans that Peugeot offers, the Boxer is the largest. Ideal for projects where you need a lot of people and cargo space. A Peugeot Boxer with a double cabin offers you the best of both worlds.
The Peugeot Boxer – similar to the Citroën Jumper and the Fiat Ducato – has a loading volume of up to 17 cubic meters. This provides you with enough space for goods, but also offers the possibility to have a double cab installed. This way, you get a commercial vehicle with ample loading space and a lot of room for passenger transport.
By equipping a Peugeot Boxer with a double cabin, you create a van that offers you many more possibilities. The extra row of seats allows you to take more people with you at the same time. Ideal for larger jobs! And the double cabin not only ensures that you can efficiently transport people. It’s also attractive for your wallet, as you can often manage with just one van now, which saves on fuel, road tax, and car insurance.
On a personal level, a Peugeot Boxer with a double cabin is also ideal because you can now go out with the whole family! You keep enough space in the back for suitcases and bags, while in the front – safely and responsibly – you can carry up to six people.
As a vehicle with a gray license plate, a Peugeot Boxer with a double cabin was fiscally attractive for years because you could benefit from tax advantages and lower tax premiums. Unfortunately, the gray license plate scheme for entrepreneurs will be discontinued as of 2025. From January 1, 2025, entrepreneurs will therefore pay the full BPM (tax on passenger cars and motorcycles) upon purchase.
A Peugeot Boxer emits more CO2, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter as a delivery van or commercial vehicle than a passenger car. This was the reason for the cabinet to abolish the exemption for vehicles with a gray license plate starting in 2025.
From that year onwards, the BPM will be calculated based on CO2 emissions (just like with passenger cars). It is about 66.90 euros per gram of CO2. Therefore, it quickly amounts to ten to twenty thousand euros in tax.
Blix Automotive is recognized by the RDW, which means we ensure that your company vehicle meets the standards set by this organization for cargo vans. And that’s great, because if your Peugeot Boxer doesn’t comply, it will be classified as a passenger car for motor vehicle tax and bpm purposes, with all the associated costs.
In addition to the RDW requirements, we also ensure that you can safely hit the road with your converted Peugeot. You can trust that every conversion we carry out meets all European standards. For example, think of the presence of three-point seat belts and headrests for every added seat in your van. Read more about our guarantees.
When you choose a double cab at Blix Automotive, you are choosing quality. We ensure that the interior of your converted Peugeot Boxer remains just as it was before, but with an additional row of seats. The upholstery of your extra seating row matches the existing interior of your Peugeot Boxer, and the ceiling, wall, and partition linings blend seamlessly together. After all, appearances matter too!
