Fiat Talento is the successor to the Fiat Scudo. This commercial vehicle fills the gap between the more compact Doblò Cargo and the Fiat Ducato. For the Talento, Fiat collaborated with Renault, which itself works with Opel and Nissan. As a result, this van is also available as the Renault Trafic, Nissan NV 300, and Opel Vivaro.
The Fiat Talento has a lot of practical storage space and rear doors that can open 270 degrees. And with an extra-low loading floor, you can see why the Talento is popular. This van is also ideal for expanding with an extra row of seats. If you choose a Fiat Talento with a double cabin, you are opting for a van in which you can carry many people and a lot of stuff.
If you equip a Fiat Talento with a double cabin, you have a company vehicle that can transport up to six people to a job site. This often saves you from having to deploy an additional vehicle! Good for the costs, but also good for the environment.
Another advantage of converting the Fiat Talento into a company vehicle with a double cabin is that it is now perfect for family trips. You have all the space for suitcases while also having extra seats so everyone can come along.
As a vehicle with commercial plates, a Fiat Talento with a double cabin was fiscally attractive for many years because you could benefit from tax advantages and lower premiums. Unfortunately, starting in 2025, the commercial plate scheme for entrepreneurs will be discontinued. From January 1, 2025, entrepreneurs will therefore pay the full BPM (tax on passenger cars and motorcycles) at the time of purchase.
A Fiat Talento emits more CO2, nitrogen oxides, and fine particles as a delivery or company vehicle than a passenger car. This was the reason for the government to abolish the exemption for vehicles with commercial plates from 2025 onwards.
From that year, the BPM will be calculated based on the CO2 emissions (just like with passenger cars). It amounts to 66.90 euros per gram of CO2. Thus, it quickly adds up to ten to twenty thousand euros in taxes.
