Tax benefits of a double cab

As a car with a gray license plate, an Opel Vivaro with a double cab was fiscally attractive for years, because you could take advantage of tax benefits and a lower tax premium. Unfortunately, from 2025, the gray license plate scheme for entrepreneurs will disappear. From January 1, 2025, entrepreneurs will therefore have to pay the full BPM (tax on passenger cars and motorcycles) when purchasing a vehicle.

An Opel Vivaro emits more CO2, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter as a delivery van or commercial vehicle than a passenger car. This was the reason for the cabinet to abolish the exemption for cars with a gray license plate starting in 2025.
