The Opel Vivaro is a popular van that Opel launched in 2001 in collaboration with Renault. This van is – like many other commercial vehicles nowadays – also available in an electric variant. This is the Opel Vivaro-e. Are you looking for an Opel Vivaro with a double cab? Then Blix Automotive is the right place for you. We seamlessly provide your van with an extra row of seats.
The Opel Vivaro is available in three lengths: 4.6 meters, 4.95 meters, and 5.3 meters. Add to that the electrically operated sliding doors, and you’ll understand that the cargo space of this van is frequently utilized. However, you can make this space even more versatile by dividing it into a cargo area and an area for additional seating. With the double cab, you get a van that allows you to take more people along on a job or for private purposes.
If you want an Opel Vivaro with a double cab, you’re in the right place with us! When it comes to installation and conversion, we focus not only on safety but also on aesthetics. We ensure that the upholstery of the extra row of seats seamlessly matches the existing interior of your Vivaro. The same goes for the roof, wall, and partition lining. This way, you can hit the road safely and stylishly.
By installing a second row of seats in your Opel Vivaro, you instantly get a van with extra possibilities. You get a vehicle that can seat six people, making it ideal for larger jobs. No more inefficiency of using two vans or making multiple trips back and forth. It’s better for the environment and your wallet. Not only do you need to use one less van, but it also saves you on fuel, road tax, and car insurance. Now you can complete the job with one modified Opel Vivaro.
Another perk: thanks to the double cabin, you can now easily go out with your family. After all, an extra row of seats has been added while still leaving enough space for suitcases and bags.
As a car with a gray license plate, an Opel Vivaro with a double cab was fiscally attractive for years, because you could take advantage of tax benefits and a lower tax premium. Unfortunately, from 2025, the gray license plate scheme for entrepreneurs will disappear. From January 1, 2025, entrepreneurs will therefore have to pay the full BPM (tax on passenger cars and motorcycles) when purchasing a vehicle.
An Opel Vivaro emits more CO2, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter as a delivery van or commercial vehicle than a passenger car. This was the reason for the cabinet to abolish the exemption for cars with a gray license plate starting in 2025.
From that year, the BPM will be calculated based on CO2 emissions (just like with passenger cars). It amounts to 66.90 euros per gram of CO2. So, it quickly adds up to ten to twenty thousand euros in taxes.
Blix Automotive is an RDW-approved company. You can therefore trust that your converted van meets the necessary requirements. And that is important, because if it doesn’t, your Vivaro will be classified as a passenger car for vehicle tax and BPM purposes.
But we don’t just consider the requirements set by the RDW. We ensure that each conversion meets all European standards, so you can be sure of a safe journey. This means, among other things, that the extra row of seats includes three-point seat belts and headrests. Read more about our guarantees.
